How to create a second screen for hdmi mac. I recently installed the iStat widget on my Intel Mac Pro (2x2.66GHz dual core Intel Xeon with 3 GB RAM, running 10.4.11. It has the NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphics card). I was surprised to find that the ™Northbridge temp™ normally is at 150°F which seems hot to me.
I just got two of the new Mac minis (2.5 Ghz i5) and from what I can see the internal ventilation is really poor. The fan is supposed to suck air through the edges of the plastic base, but the gap is *very* small. I think Apple has really gone too far with 'form over function' with this design. I've seen temperature data online that indicates that the CPU will run 20 degrees cooler if the plastic base is removed entirely.
Adobe photoshop free download macbook. Is anyone here using the minis for intensive processing, and have you been monitoring the internal temps? Another reason to go SSD-only inside.
I want to see what the iMac BTO options are first, but since I already have an external monitor I'm considering the Mac mini i7 2.6Ghz with SSD, then adding my own 16Gb RAM. That's $1300 total.which happens to be the price of the 21' i5 iMac w/ 8Gb RAM + 1Tb hard drive. If I want to add my own RAM and get an i7 iMac I'm looking at over $2000 for the 27' iMac, with no info yet on upgrade pricing or availability for SSDs. Of course the iMacs have videocam/keyboard/mouse/graphics card/32Gb max RAM, etc. But the Mac mini seems to have hit a sweet spot in power/price.

This puzzles me. If the thing works quietly and doesn't break down, why would you second-guess Apple's engineers? Everything Apple releases is always perfect. Just because you think something might be off, don't dare question Apple. At least until a year after people report problems and Apple eventually admits failure. Apple spend a fortune on engineers who spend all day designing those Macs.
Do you think they'd release a machine that can't cool itself? How do you archive emails in outlook 2011 for mac. My old AppleTV1 seems to run at about 95C all the time, but it's been doing so for about 5 years, and it works today as well as it ever did. This puzzles me.
